Overnight on the Ramosseas

My husband and I spent a night aboard the Ramosseas in summer with our two children and it really did exceed expectations. The Ramosseas is incredibly well-designed and laid out, with generous-sized cabins and living area. Meals can be eaten in the living room, the stern deck and flybridge, which if you’re a landlubber like me, is basically the roof terrace! The ingeniously compact, comprehensive kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals so we didn’t have to tear ourselves away, and Ocean Village has plenty of supermarkets to grab meals. The Ramosseas has TVs in each bedroom and the living area, as well as a PS2 and DVDs. The marina itself is really lovely, full of bars and restaurants that fall quiet exactly at the moment you want to go to turn in! As for sleep, we all slept exceptionally well, probably better than at home. The almost imperceptible movement of the waves is clearly very soothing! Rather than using the en-suite facilities on board as the boat was of course moored, we showered in the washroom at MDL Marina’s Ocean Village marina office. It was the MDL staff who handed over and took back the keys, showed us around the boat and helped with any queries, which was very reassuring. Owner David was also available if we needed him - again, very reassuring when you’re not used to boats. All the neighbours were very friendly and helpful too and the children had great fun exploring the Ramosseas in their new life jackets and watching boats coming in and out of the marina. Breakfast on the flybridge was a highlight. We were very sad to leave and do hope to be back for another visit soon. Excitingly, David told us that the Ramosseas is now available for charter so next time we’ll get to see what she can do in open water! Thanks Beds on Board for arranging a truly unique and luxurious stay.
